Perrone Robotics' patent pending MAX platform and toolkit provides a suite of software services that may be commonly used in any robotics or automation application. The MAX toolkit provides a generic approach for defining how any sort of sensors, actuators, and robot conduct may be configured, assembled, deployed, and managed. Total plug-and-play and configuration of built-in, custom, or third-party components is enabled.

MAX Extensions

In addition to a wide-range of built in services, various MAX extensions provide additional capabilities for specific robotics and automation applications.

A wide range of plug-ins, configurations, and services for specific sensor, actuation, and conduct needs are available. Specific plug-ins for GPS, inertial navigation, laser radar, radar, encoder, motor control, and other services enable you to more rapidly configure applications which leverage those features.

MAX LMS SDK

The SICK LASER Measurement System is a rugged, cost-effective, and versatile way to collect a large number of range points using LASER technology. Unfortunately, obtaining data from the LMS ivolves a complex number of steps. There is a steep learning curve when attempting to do anything other than look at a few fields of information. If you want to see and manipulate all of the data from the LMS, many person-hours of programming is involved. Unless you use the MAX LMS SDK.

Use high-level abstractions and methods in Java to access the LMS Data. Do complex transformations and analysis of the LMS data without having to work with complex interfaces. Use the built-in methods to filter data, grab measurement information, and control the LMS.

MAX GeoRange Application

LIDAR is useful for a wide range of applications. One key application involves scanning objects in the real world and rendering the 3D points in the context of the real world. The MAX GeoRange Application allows you to fuse GPS, inertial navigation data, and LIDAR data together. With the GeoRange Application, you can scan buildings, cars, terrain, or anything else in the physical world, and import the data into your GPS-aware points application.
